WINDOWS 11 • V0.78.0 • REAL HTTPS ORIGIN
Secure browser-to-printer
acceptance test.
Test your existing local DirectSpool agent from a genuine HTTPS website. Approve the exact origin, discover authorized devices, and intentionally send one short receipt only after confirming the printer.
01 / ENVIRONMENT
Start with the right origin
Checking secure context…
Use a dedicated HTTPS staging hostname that you control, with no analytics or third-party scripts. This test is intentionally not designed for file:// or a local HTTPS server, which would not adequately represent public-site-to-loopback browser restrictions.
Reach the agent
Check whether this browser can communicate with the localhost service. Before approval, a denied result can be expected.
Request exact-origin pairing
Request authorization, then open the v0.78.0 Operator from its tray icon and approve this staging origin. Never approve unknown websites.
List authorized devices
Connect with the in-memory pairing token and list devices made available by the agent.
One intentional print
The test sends a short, readable ESC/POS receipt to the selected registered device. It never retries a submission if the outcome is uncertain.
06 / EVIDENCE
Capture the real result
Run this page separately in Chrome, Edge and Firefox. Save one report per browser. Results include statuses and version only—never tokens, pairing tickets, or print payloads.
- No tests executed yet.
The browser may ask for Local Network Access. Grant permission only to your own test origin. Do not disable browser protections, paste credentials into this page, or automatically repeat uncertain print operations.
